Neutral lips let your eyes do the talking — and wow, can that have an impact!
I love playing with makeup, and lipstick is a great place to start. Picking your perfect pout for the wedding is a big decision, but if you try everything and make sure to call in reinforcements for a few honest opinions, you’ll get there. I always imagined I’d do pink lips for my big day, but after consulting with Rachel my makeup artist, we mutually decided on the Armani beige that I’ve blogged about multiple times — a color I reach for often to punctuate special date nights and make me feel prettier on a ho-hum day.

In honor of the neutrals of which I am so fond, I thought we’d look at some pretty lip options for your summer and fall wedding. I chose to purchase a tube of mine from Rachel so I could have it on hand for touch-ups, the honeymoon, and beyond. Whether you love her, or love to hate her, there’s no denying Kim K knows her way around a makeup counter. She’s made a neutral lip famous and always ensures she’s got major eyes going on to balance out the look. I adore the goopy, glossy approach she takes, often featuring a touch of petal pink in her nude. The best way to achieve this is to one-two punch it with a peony-hued stick covered in a well saturated gloss.
